MURAL STEPS 〰️

A mural can be many things, it can express an emotion or symbolism, logo or slogan, or it can simply be an attractive sign. As such, it is not surprising the line between signage and mural artwork can be quite blurred. Often times a simple plastic sign can work, but custom wall murals are much more memorable and will stick with the viewer.

Be Seen, Be Remembered

For any business that wants to be noticed, signage in the form of custom murals are a fantastic way to achieve this goal. Building architecture can be incorporated into the design creating a memorable, personable piece that speaks to your customers.

Artwork has been used timelessly to express ideas, intentions, authenticity, integrity, and authority. A mural can express anything your heart desires, and it can be used to impress, persuade, and delight onlookers.

Every mural is a unique work of art, and we take into consideration a myriad of factors when designing and conceptualizing a custom wall mural.

Location is an essential aspect because working a mural into the final site in a creative manner is always an excellent way to deliver stunning results.

Whether you have a vague idea or a well-developed design brief, we will work with you to create a mural to fit your needs perfectly. Our artists are highly trained and practice a variety of artistic styles ranging from classical to contemporary. This enables us to provide fantastic results that meet your needs.

Step 1: Design

A properly prepared wall will ensure a vibrant & longer lasting mural. Please keep in mind that there’s a lot of longevity factors based on different types of build materials, colors, directional face and environments.

Proper cleaning and preparation is the MOST important step. Walls needs a variety of treatments from a light pressure wash to soapy water and a wire brush.

Once the surface is cleaned and repaired the next step is to prime the wall. Priming will create a even surface and help the paint stick to the wall

Step 3: Preparation

Planning a mural project is the most important part of the job. During this phase, we assess the specific needs of your project, and answer commonly asked questions

– What permits are required?
– What sort of access will we have?
– Do we need any specific equipment?

Choosing the right surface, materials, and artists are key to consider in ensuring a successful mural project.

No two projects are the same and each is carefully evaluated to ensure that murals are painted in a safe and careful manner.

Step 2: Planning

This is where everything comes to life! After the design has been approved, we will gather all the paint and materials, and set an install date for your new mural.

Rest assured, Mural Supply Co.’s talented team of artists always nail the design in full scale so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Depending on the complexity of the design, size and method of application the whole mural installation process can be as little as a day to a few weeks.

Step 4: Execution

Step 5: Protection

Now you need to protect the wall to ensure that it stays vibrant and beautiful for a long time to come. The final step to finishing your painted wall mural is to seal it.

A good varnish will not make up for a poor substrate, but if the preparation is solid, the varnish will protect the final skin of the painted mural. Another advantage of the acrylic varnish is that you can remove it without damaging the mural underneath.
